Financial Controller
The Role
We are looking for a Finance Controller who will be working full-time as part of LAUTEC’s finance team in Skopje. Joining our team, you will take a hands-on role in the day-to-day operation of the finance function across LAUTEC Group’s global offices, while gradually growing your focus on financial data quality and systems integration.
What You Will Do
• Global Coordination: Support bookkeeping and invoicing across LAUTEC Group companies, including day-to-day invoice processing and payments, working closely with the wider finance team.
• Financial Closing Support: Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reports.
• Regulatory Compliance and Controlling: Support financial control across Group entities, helping ensure adherence to financial standards and regulations, and coordinating with accountants for compliance.
• Financial Reporting and Insight: Generate financial reports and conduct analyses of financial performance, expenditures, and profitability to support decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts under the guidance of the Head of Finance.
• Financial Data Management: Support the structure, accuracy, and consistency of financial data across systems, and take a growing role in initiatives to integrate and automate data flows between the finance tools we use.
• Finance Function Enhancement: Help drive continuous improvement in the finance function, particularly around data management and systems integration, as you develop in this area.
What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or finance operations, ideally in an international/multi-entity environment.
• A hands-on approach to daily finance operations – comfortable handling routine tasks such as invoice processing and payments – combined with a structured way of working.
• A data mindset with starting knowledge of financial data management – structuring, cleaning, and maintaining financial data – and a genuine willingness to grow into connecting and automating workflows across the systems we use (ERP, BI/reporting tools, Excel).
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic automation); experience with accounting/ERP platforms such as E-conomic, Business Central, or similar is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, with strong communication skills to explain financial and data topics clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Detail-oriented and structured, with a proactive, improvement-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working across borders and time zones as part of an international team.
