Accountant
Join LAUTEC as an Accountant for one of our clients, a leading renewable energy developer with a pipeline of offshore wind projects across Taiwan and other parts of Asia.
This opportunity is suited to an accounting professional who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high standard of accuracy. You will support the integrity of financial information across assigned client's group entities and contribute to reliable reporting, compliance, and accounting processes.
The Role
Based in Taipei, Taiwan, you will be responsible for accounting matters for the assigned entities within the client's group. The role covers periodic closing, financial reporting, cash-flow support, audits, statutory accounting, tax filings, and the ongoing improvement of accounting systems and procedures.
What You Will Do
Support accounting and tax activities for the assigned entities.
Manage periodic closing of management accounts and ensure the integrity of accounting information.
Assist with preparing financial statements and other internal and external financial reports.
Support the evaluation of short-term cash-flow forecasts.
Facilitate annual audits, statutory accounting, and tax filings.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting systems and procedures.
Address ad-hoc requests relating to accounting and tax matters.
What Are We Looking For
Professional working proficiency in English language.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting.
A minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting.
Technical competence in commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with IFRS, Taiwan generally accepted accounting principles, and corporate finance principles and processes.
Competency with an ERP system, such as SAP or Oracle.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
The ability to communicate information clearly and respond to questions from senior management, auditors, and other internal or external stakeholders.
The ability to work independently with limited supervision, take full responsibility for the quality of work, and deliver under tight deadlines.
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience resolving issues involving multiple variables where limited standardization exists.
Nice-to-haves:
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
Prior experience with closing and reporting for multi-location companies on a consolidated basis.
